U2 start work on new album
U2 have revealed that they have begun work on a new album.
The follow-up to 2009’s ‘No Line On The Horizon’, the as-yet-untitled album is set to be “really special”.
“We are working on a lot of new songs,” The Edge told EW.com. “Some of them are really, really happy. We’re convinced that we have something really special.”

SLASH Gear Banned From GUNS N’ ROSES Concert
According to TMZ, GUNS N’ ROSES fans were forced to take sides in the legendary war between Axl Rose and Slash – after security at a recent GNR show banned fans from wearing Slash gear inside the show.
It all went down at the GNR show in Canada last Wednesday – concert security informed fans that they were required to turn their Slash t-shirts inside out …. and leave their top hats outside.
TMZ spoke with a member of the concert security team who confirmed the marching orders – and told us the instructions were passed down from a producer for the band.

Ozzy Osbourne On Return of Ozzfest, Departure of Zakk Wylde
Ozzy Osbourne may not be planning a Black Sabbath reunion, but he is in the final stages of recording his next solo album. The disc was originally titled Soul Sucka, but Ozzy recently changed his mind about that. “When we put that on the Internet none of my fan base liked the title,” says Osbourne.
“They were like, ‘I can’t imagine me walking around the fucking house with the words ‘Soul Sucka’ on my T-shirt.’ So I was like, ‘Fuck it. I’ve got to come up with something else!’ ” The now untitled set is due out in July, the same month Osbourne says that Ozzfest will return after a one-year break. “After Ozzfest I’m doing the most extensive tour of my life,” he says. “It’ll be something like, 3,025 dates.”
The Scorpions Announce Retirement
German hard rock legends The Scorpions have announced that at the end of their upcoming world tour they will be retiring. The tour will be in support of their new album, “Sting in the Tail,” which is set for release on March 19th. The band made the announcement on their website as well as releasing a couple of previews from the new album. Here is the announcement:

No Addiction for Guns N’ Roses Tour
Guns N’ Roses have shot down last week’s rumor about playing with Jane’s Addiction on their upcoming South American tour. They denied that Jane’s Addition will be playing the tour, but the rumor stated they would be playing with them on a specific date.
The rumor was “According to Isabel Guerra from Livinginperu.com, Guns N’ Roses and Jane’s Addiction will perform in Lima on March 25, 2010, in the Monumental Stadium Esplanade.”
