No action over Stone Roses’ Ian Brown arrest
Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has been released without charge after being questioned on suspicion of assaulting his wife.
The 46-year-old was arrested in west London last month but has now been told he will face no further action.
Mexican model and actress Fabiola Quiroz has a nine-year-old son with the singer.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at a residential address in a morning in November.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed the man arrested over the incident had been released on bail and would face “no further action”.
At the time of the incident Brown was taken to a west London police station and was bailed to return in December pending further inquiries.
In September, Brown announced that he was planning to write and record an album with The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.
In an interview with the BBC News website he also rubbished reports that he had signed up to a Stone Roses reunion tour.
They disbanded after the release of 1994 follow-up Second Coming.
