CHAD SMITH’S BOMBASTIC MEATBATS Tap MATT SORUM For Japan Music Fair Appearance

L.A. all-stars CHAD SMITH’S BOMBASTIC MEATBATS, featuring guitarist Jeff Kollman (COSMOSQUAD, GLENN HUGHES), bassist Kevin Chown (UNCLE CRACKER, TED NUGENT), and keyboardist Ed Roth (GLENN HUGHES, RONNIE MONTROSE), have tapped Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N’ ROSES) to take over drum duties from Chad Smith for their exclusive appearance at the Gakki Fair in Yokohama, Japan on November 7th.

The Meatbats recently concluded a successful tour of Japan with special guest Kenny Aronoff (JOHN FOGERTY, IOMMI) on drums filling in for co-founder Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, CHICKENFOOT).

Several band shots and Tokyo live footage of ‘Pig Feet’ with Aronoff can be viewed here, while rehearsal footage of ‘Bread Balls’ can be seen below.

Meet The Meatbats was released on September 15th via Warrior Records/Universal in North America and October 12th through Edel/earMUSIC in Europe.
